GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. Do not use other people's characters without their permission. This is like...the universal RP law of the Universe. Don't do it. Also please refrain from attacking or otherwise abusing staff characters. While you are welcome to use a backstage interviewer if you so choose, we do ask that you consult with an admin before writing a physical beat down of a character that will need to be on the show later that week.
2. Do not no-show the match. Cards will be posted on Wednesday nights after results, giving you 11 days to RP. If you KNOW you won't be around, ask for some time off. We won't stop you. We would rather you tell us you'll be gone and then realize you can write than have you tell us you can write and then realize you'll be gone. It's far easier to add an extra match than it is to remove one already booked. Work with us, we'll work with you. We're pretty cool like that. No-shows will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Most places have some sort of system in place for things like this. We understand that sometimes life will shit all over you and you're just not going to have it in you to get things done. But if we suspect you're abusing our system, we will boot you out, and we will not regret it for a second.
3. Do not edit your RP. If you find that the site totally fucked up your meticulous coding and you're really anal and need to fix it, cool. Go for it. But do not edit new pieces or alter scenes in your RP after posting, and ESPECIALLY do not do this after deadline.
4. All characters must be your own creation.
5. You may have two characters active on the roster if you would like, provided you have time to RP for them. Create characters at your own risk: While we will do our best to accommodate handlers with multiple characters, we will in no way guarantee that a handler with two characters will never see both booked on the same show. Keep this in mind when creating somebody new.
6. We ask that you use a real person to represent your character. Do not use cartoon characters. Also, do not use people under the age of 18. It gets weird.
7. This rarely even needs to be said anymore, but Pride operates in a world where wrestling is the most popular form of entertainment, and "real life" promotions in wrestling and MMA do not exist. You may absolutely make reference to other e-feds if you wish, but Pride exists in a universe where places like WWE, TNA, UFC or ROH never existed.
OUT OF CHARACTER RULES
1. While we will consult with the fed as a whole for most major decisions, please note that the decisions of the administration team are final. This includes booking decisions, match outcomes, and major decisions regarding the status of the fed.
2. Don't be an asshole. If you have to stop and think "is this being an asshole?" It probably is. Don't do it.
3. We will monitor Twitter, but we will not be policing Twitter. We have no control over twitter. We cannot possibly look over everything that happens on the site AND on social media at the same time. That said: Please remember that, ESPECIALLY from an OOC standpoint, you represent the circle that you play the game with.
4. Do not berate people based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, hair color, eye color, education level, or whatever other thing you can think of. If somebody feels unwelcome, it looks bad on us. We all like to joke around, but if it moves from jokes to genuinely bothering someone, that's a problem.
5. If you are having a problem with somebody OOC, please don't hesitate to come to us about it. Most problems in Pride will be handled privately, quietly, and quickly. Do not call somebody out openly. This almost never helps the situation and makes things uncomfortable for everybody.
6. If you see anything questionable or out of the ordinary, please contact your friendly neighborhood admin. We'll look into it and make sure things check out.
7. Do not post pornographic content on the boards. We cannot guarantee that everybody who visits the site is over 18.
8. If you need time off, let us know ahead of time. Like I said before: It's easier to add a match to a card than it is to remove one.
9. If you have something you'd like to plug on the site, we'll usually be cool with it: All we ask is that you get permission from the admins first. Find a cool fed people might like? Did you create a Pride version of a game? Want us to buy your mix-tape? Cool. But let us know before you go advertising all over our clean boards.
10. There will always be a thread to post feedback. It's not mandatory, but it keeps the match writers motivated. We like to know how we're doing.
