Ignition #003: Chaos Reigns!
Live from the ShoWare Center in Seattle, Washington!
The feed comes to life on a beautiful pyrotechnic display on the Pride Pro stage. The cameras pan around the arena, showcasing the sold out crowd. Twenty-One Pilots "Heathens" blasts through the arena PA system as the cameras cut to the stage. The music dies down, leaving the crowd hanging in suspense for a few moments. The opening riffs of Crush 40’s “I Am(All I Am)” hits the speakers sending the audience into a frenzy.
Parker Wayde:
"Here he is ladies and gentlemen."
Coby Quik:
"The PRIDE Champ is on his way."
With the buildup of the music, RC charges out to the stage with the PRIDE championship over his shoulder. The audience practically blows the roof off with their cheers “causing” RC to stumble backwards and fall on his butt as he basks in the cheers. He gets up and brushes himself off looking at the camera saying “All fun and games tonight!” before charging down the ramp and sliding into the ring with the belt. He holds it up high pacing around the ring a couple times as the audience gets their pictures in.
Parker Wayde:
"What an ovation for the inaugural PRIDE Champion!"
Coby Quik:
"The guy may be missing a few screws up top, but you can't deny he put on a hell of a show on Halloween."
Parker Wayde:
"The Lion's Pride Event did not go his way, but he has not let it stop him, and he avenged that loss to Erron Wilder in the biggest way possible."
RC calls for a mic and his music fades. RC smiles as he looks out over the audience who cheer loudly each time he brings the mic to his mouth. This pattern repeats a few times as the audience begins a chant of “R-C-T, R-C-T”. RC just shakes his head and eventually speaks.
RC Tucker:
"I’m sure eventually you’re gonna let me address you."
The audience cheers loudly, but they stay quiet when he brings the mic back up.
RC Tucker:
"Thank you. Thank you for your applause."
Suddenly RC cranks up the volume.
RC Tucker:
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, CHAOTIX AROUND THE WORLD, WELCOME TO IGNITION!"
The audience cheers once more.
RC Tucker:
"And tonight is night one of what has already been dubbed Chaos Reigns! Not by me, I wish I was clever enough to come up with that. And if it is to be a reign of Chaos then it’s only right that I start off by thanking each and every one of you who supported me and my family in this."
Approving claps from the audience.
RC Tucker:
"Understand that having a championship, especially the top championship in a company, it usually brings out and magnifies everyone’s individual eccentricities. After all, when holding a title you stand as the representative of that division of the roster or in this case the representative of the entire roster itself."
Cheers raised again.
RC Tucker:
"Hell later tonight, they’re gonna crown another champion. Someone who’s going to hold a title nearly as prestigious as this. So that’s gonna be yet another representative. I guess you could say that takes pressure off me to be so animated as to keep putting Pride on the map, but where’s the fun in that? I didn’t win this title to just laze around doing nothing after all."
Another round of applause.
RC Tucker:
"Having said that though, I’m humbled by this. Not to say that I’m not going to be the biggest douchebag instigator everyone knows and loves still. Far from it, but what this means to me is that I have to put on my best face at all times. My best game face needs to be what everyone sees. Everyone here…"
RC points to the audience who cheer again. He lingers on them for a moment before pointing to the backstage area.
RC Tucker:
"…and especially everyone back there. Everyone needs to know that I will be holding this title with honor and respect, but also still being my very insane but lovable self. Which brings us to the issue of tonight."
The audience builds their anticipation.
RC Tucker:
"Tonight I go one on one with the lady Spider. Now she’s not Black Widow or a black widow or anything, but damn that girl can move when she needs to. And undefeated, did you guys catch that part? Yea, so far she’s undefeated here in Pride, but isn’t that what makes this match so interesting? The top champ takes on the only undefeated member of the roster since the beginning. Here it comes Chaotix!"
RC looks over the audience with a smirk who cheer his next words.
RC Tucker:
"Tonight, we see what happens when unstoppable meets immovable. And that ladies and gentlemen, is where a reign of Chaos is truly born."
RC drops the mic and holds the title up once more as his music plays. He exits the ring and heads back up the ramp.
Coby Quik:
"RC saying his match with Spider tonight is going to be a collision of epic proportions."
Parker Wayde:
"And how can it not be? RC has to be asking if even he can beat Spider tonight after going through that ladder match with Erron Wilder."
Coby Quik:
"RC will have his work cut out for him in his first match since winning the PRIDE championship. It may just be what sets the tone for the reign of Chaos."
Corey Hart's Sunglasses at night takes over the PA system sending a capacity crowd into an uproar for the self-proclaimed beating heart, the Lion of the Pride, Sammy Duke!!
Parker Wayde:
"Speaking of a possibly start to reigns, we go from one champion, to a man that could very well walk away with his own championship from tonight's main event!"
Sammy wore a black t-shirt with gold blended into the fabric, pretty loose fitting, over some relaxed fit, black jeans and Converse® sneakers. He had a similar tinted beanie on his head, and although his catchy eighties theme music would suggest, Sammy in fact was not wearing his sunglasses on this night.
Coby Quik:
"Seems like nobody wants to wait to get things started!"
Parker Wayde:
"It has been two weeks, I can't blame them."
Sammy stepped out onto the stage, he still couldn’t help but be a little starstruck at the sight of everything. That ring down the aisle that he’d be in later tonight, heck that he’d be main eventing inside on this evening. He took one last look out at the crowd before continuing his walk down the aisle to the ring, taking time to slap some hands of the lucky individuals at ringside.
Coby Quik:
"You have to love how much Sammy respects the fans. I think that's why they have latched onto him like they have."
Parker Wayde:
"A lot of people in this business have a hard time being relatable. If you are built like a city bus, with the personality of a goldfish, nobody is going to show up to see you. Give them something they can identify with, and the #IStandWithSammy movement is born."
Back to the ring, Sammy slides in under the bottom rope. With a quick kip up, he’s back to his feet with the ring announcer handing him a microphone.
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"ShoWare Center!! What’s gooooooddd!!"
Sammy’s electric introduction riles the crowd up in anticipation of another exciting night!
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"I see you guys are WOKE tonight! That’s great, because we’ve got a HUGE show planned for this evening, including starting the show with the…."
Sammy looks over his shoulder, feigning nervousness.
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"...and I hope she doesn’t get mad and start trying to hunt me for this, but the unchained Eliza Valentine, taking on Abby Watkins! Eliza is kind of a loose cannon, she’s even got a disclaimer on every card she’s advertised for, but you can’t help but be excited for whatever it is that she is going to be doing on the show!"
Coby Quik:
"Is this guy moving in on our jobs now?"
Parker Wayde:
"I mean we get paid either way, right? Let the guy have some fun."
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"Later on we have a...uhm, someone a bit special to me personally, she’s been somewhat of a mentor to me since I joined the Pride, in Anushka Aalto, and she’s taking on a former Pride Heavyweight Champion himself in Julian Savell! Man, there’s a match that could have headlined a Pay-Per-View everywhere, but instead, we all get to enjoy it right here, LIVE on Ignition! I’m as excited as everyone else here to see that, and I think I speak for everyone when I say..."
Sammy turns to face the hard camera with a wink.
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"Good luck, Anushka! We’ll be pulling for you! Or, at least I will!"
Parker Wayde:
"I almost feel bad for how hard this guy is getting friend-zoned."
Coby Quik:
"You sound like Julian Savell and Erron Wilder now..."
Parker Wayde:
"Sounds like some pretty talented company to keep."
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"But wait there’s more! While the Pride Champion RC Tucker is in action, DeMarcus Gresham, Erron Wilder, and the unpinned fabulous arachnid lady Spider are in action...and what a star-studded card that is already. Our main event is a first-ever match, to crown the first-ever Champion of Pride Television, in a triple threat match...with three individuals that have never faced each other before!"
The entirety of the ShoWare Center begins roaring to life at a fever pitch!
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"First in the match, you have my friend in Luke Jackson! The good guy, but the hungry guy for a win. By far he has the most experience going into this match, and I know on paper that must mean he has to be the odds-on favorite to win tonight…"
Parker Wayde:
"Luke Jackson does have more experience inside a Pride ring than almost anyone else on the roster. People might not remember but he even beat Julian Savell and DeMarcus Gresham into the fold."
Coby Quik:
"He was impressive enough for Jason Halich to reach out to him when our doors reopened, and as of late, he seems to have really gotten it together. I could see him walking out of here with a championship around his waist easily."
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"Then we have Holly Rhodes, whom going in has about as many professional matches as I do, but she has the best competitive record of the three of us! I’m sure she’s probably the cult favorite, for all of the odds-makers, to walk out victorious of this main event match!"
Parker Wayde:
"Not to mention I am pretty certain Holly could toss either of them around the ring easily. She has been dominant since showing up in Pride, really only falling short in the Lion's Pride Event."
Coby Quik:
"She is going to be the biggest roadblock to either of the other two men trying to pick up the win. They might even need to work together to take her out of the equation."
Parker Wayde:
"Maybe that is why Sammy wanted to butter up Luke at Trick or Treat..."
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"And then the final participant...that’s me!"
*Stand With Sammy!*
*Stand With Sammy!*
Sammy takes a bow with nothing but awestruck respect in his eyes.
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"Awww. Thanks, you guys! I know, on paper I’ve got the worst competitive record of the three of us… and I’ve got the least professional experience, of the three of us."
*Awwwww…*
A remorseful hush fell over the ShoWare Center.
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"But that’s where the negatives end! I’m Sammy Duke, and unlike Luke I don’t have a family lineage in this business. Unlike Holly, I don’t have the clout to get big names to make cameos on my behalf. But what I do have, is hunger! The hunger to put in the effort! The desire to be inside of that gym, six days a week in preparation for not just this match, but any match! The upbeat personality that refuses to tuck tail and run when the going gets tough…"
Because when the going gets tough...Sammy can get tough right back!!
*Sammy!*
*Sammy!*
*Sammy!*
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"This match is just as important to me, as it is to each and every one of you! To keep your faith in me well placed. To keep my protractors...like that rude jerkface Erron Wilder…"
*Booooooo!!*
Sammy ”The Lion” Duke:
"I know, I know. But this match is to keep guys like him eating his words! Once I prove myself as a champion each and every one of YOU can rely on...that Pride Pro Wrestling Television Championship...will be the spoils of my victory! A victory that I couldn’t have achieved without the support of each and every one of you! And that’s what I’m fighting for tonight. With all of my heart. I’ll see everyone out there in tonight’s main event."
*Stand With Sammy!*
*Stand With Sammy!*
Sammy mouths through the chants, “thank you”, before setting the microphone down on the mat and exiting the ring. The cameras shift again to the commentary table where Parker Wayde and Coby Quik look impressed with the rookie's words.
Coby Quik:
"You are going to blame it on the fact that I am a small guy, and Sammy is a small guy, so there's some bias, but I actually think that he can pull this off tonight."
Parker Wayde:
"It is dumb to bet against Holly Rhodes though. Just look at what those three have done since being in Pride. Holly has to be the standout in the ring. Sammy has the support, but I don't know if he is ready for this one yet."
Coby Quik:
"Well one person that is going to be ready for it, and has every bit of the talent needed to pull out the win is Luke Jackson. He might be the best of both worlds, skill and experience. Don't be so quick to count the guy out."
As the cameras cut back to ringside, "Good Girls" by Elle King hits the PA system and Heather Cooper is seen standing in the middle of the ring. The fans start off with cheers as the bell chimes three times to signal that the announcements for the first match of the night were about to get underway, but immediately shift into heavy boos as Eliza comes through the curtain and out onto the stage.
Heather Cooper:
"Introducing first, from Las Vegas, Nevada, Eliza Valentine!"
Eliza makes her way down to the ring, focused not on the response from the crowd, but the ring itself. She slides under the bottom rope, and walks right up to Heather Cooper, only to have her music cut off and be replaced by Placebo's "Post Blue" which sounds the crowd into a frenzy.
Heather Cooper:
"...and her opponent..."
The first bit of her theme plays through the PA. With each beat, purple lights flash from around the titantron, each time, bouncing around the arena before finally focusing on the area of the stage between the curtains. Abby steps out onto the stage in her purple top and black shorts with blue LED lights. The lights catch the crowd's attention, but doesn't stop the booing that fills the arena. The camera focuses in on Abby and sees her smile as she starts to move down the ramp.
Heather Cooper:
"From Los Angeles, California! Abigail Watkins!!!!"
Abby moves down the center of the ramp, smirking and rolling her eyes at fans as they reach out to touch her. She gets to the end of the ramp and hops up on the apron of the ring. She turns her back to it and watches herself on the titantron before wrapping her arms around the top rope and bouncing her feet on the bottom rope, flipping backwards over the top rope and into the ring. She takes a few steps towards the center before spinning around, face-to-face with Eliza as the bell chimes again to start the match.
Coby Quik:
"Well I think we all know who you have in this one..."
Parker Wayde:
"What gave it away? Abby being my sister, or Eliza being a Super Cunt?"
Coby Quik:
"Both?"
Heather Cooper was quick to vacate the ring at the sound of the opening bell. JD Wright stepped up between the two women to try and go over the rules, but was unable to do so. Eliza threw a hard right hand to open things up, and rocked Abby backwards on her feet. Before Abby knew what was going on, she was hit with a second, and then a third, with Eliza backing her up towards the ropes each time. When Abby's back hit the ropes, Eliza whipped her across the ring, and then dropped her with an arm drag that put Abby on her back on the mat. The former champion and student of Jet City got up quickly, but was met with a second arm drag. When she got up the third time, Eliza finished the sequence with a picture-perfect dropkick that the fans would have cheered for if it came from anyone else on the roster.
Coby Quik:
"We haven't gotten to see Eliza really show off any technical ability before now. Management kept tossing her into hardcore stipulations, and she hasn't had to dig deep into her bag of tricks."
Parker Wayde:
"Abby is showing a little bit of ring rust. She will bounce back. This is still early on."
JD attempted to intervene to check on Abby, but Eliza shoved him out of the way and grabbed a handful of the older woman's hair to get her back up on her feet. However, Abby gripping Eliza's hand with both of her own, and fell backwards. She lifted her feet into Eliza's stomach and monkey flipped her to her back on the mat. Abby rolled through and straddled Eliza before cradling her head in her right hand and throwing some stiff forearm shots with her left arm.
Parker Wayde:
"Here she comes!"
Coby Quik:
"Eliza has been discounting Abby since this match was announced, and maybe she will regret that now."
Unlike when Eliza shoved him out of the way, when JD attempted to intervene and stop the assault, Abby stepped away without hesitation. Eliza shoved him away from her a second time, yelling out that she was fine, and rolling over onto her knees. Abby approached to stay on the offensive, but was met with a rake to her eyes. Abby turned away from Eliza, but it was more of an opening for Eliza than it was protecting herself from her. Eliza rushed forward and grabbed Abby around her neck before dropping to the ground with a neckbreaker style move. She crawled across the Pride interviewer and hooked her leg for the first pin attempt of the night, but Abby rolled her shoulder up at two.
Parker Wayde:
"Abby is still in this one, plenty of time to get things turned around."
Coby Quik:
"You have to admit though, things are not looking good...."
Parker Wayde:
"Shut up."
Eliza sized up Abby for her Mysterious Girl finisher, but Abby countered her way out of it and took Eliza down with a single-leg dropkick. Eliza got back to her feet quickly, only for Abby to send a stiff kick to her kneecap and then spike her on the mat with a DDT when she fell back down to her knees.
Parker Wayde:
"Sweet Silence!"
Coby Quik:
"Will it be enough?!?"
Abby was not fast enough to capitalize with a pin attempt as Eliza intelligently moved away from her as she recovered. The move did give Abby time to get her wits about her and move into position as Eliza started to get to her feet. The fans erupted as Eliza turned and fell into's Abby's trap. The former champion hooked Eliza up for her T-Bone suplex, but Eliza adjusted in the air, and managed to land on her feet behind Abby. She wrenched an arm around Abby's neck and brought her down against her side with a second modified neckbreaker, but when Abby fell forward she rolled out onto the apron and dropped to the floor outside the ring.
Parker Wayde:
"Abby has created some distance to try and shake that one off."
Coby Quik:
"That is probably the best thing she could have done for herself. Eliza is almost forced to back off."
Eliza acted like she was going to follow Abby to the outside, but JD cut her off and leaned through the ropes to check on Abby. She was gasping for breath but able to continue. While the two talked, Eliza made her way to the apron from the other side of the ring, and slowly walked around the outside, getting into position. As soon as Abby was on her feet, Eliza charged before JD could stop her, and punted Abby in the face as she turned. The fans booed loudly, and Abby dropped lifelessly to the floor outside the ring. Cameras could not pick up the sight of her, and JD immediately jumped out of the ring to check her out. By the time cameras circled to the side of the ring, a member of the ringside training team was kneeling next to Abby, shaking his head at JD, who had to call for the bell. Eliza stepped back into the ring, and looked down at the wreckage with a smile on her face as Heather Cooper was given the official result of the match.
Heather Cooper:
"Abby Watkins has been knocked out, and will be unable to continue in this match-up. Therefore, your winner, Eliza Valentine!"
The crowd booed ferociously as Eliza raised both her arms and her theme hit the PA system to celebrate her victory. The cameras cut away from her and back to Abby out on the floor as Eliza exited the ring and started to make her way up the ramp.
The scene opens in a dimly lit hospital room that is definitely not the ShoWare Center. The patient resting in the bed, hooked up to various intravenous bags, is Matthias Alexander. Next to him in the chair to the left of the hospital bed is a well-dressed tall man, closely cropped hair, and in a dark overcoat. They’re in the middle of a conversation.
Matthias Alexander:
“I’m serious, Gio. Take my spot. You need the experience outside the Pennsylvania territory and Pride is the perfect place for you to expand your horizon. My attorney Anthony will draw up the paperwork.”
Matthias stops as he gets a cough attack. He reaches over for a Kleenex but can’t quite get it. Giosue (Gio, to his friends) Davidson hands him the box. Matthias spits into the Kleenex and there is a twinge of blood in it. Gio looks concerned at his friend who tries to catch his breath.
Gio Davidson:
“Any word from the doctors?”
Once Matthias catches his breath, he answers Gio with another question.
Matthias Alexander:
“Are you going to take my spot or not?”
Gio grimaces and shakes his head.
Gio Davidson:
“Matt, you earned that spot. It doesn’t feel right to take it over.”
Matthias glares at Gio.
Matthias Alexander:
“This climate is killing me, Gio. I want to go home to the islands. This pneumonia will not allow me to have a good career. Plus I owe you one. Remember Kandahar?”
He’s got Gio there. (While serving in the Middle East, Gio saved Matthias from an ambush that would have certainly cost him his life. Since then, Matthias has promised to pay Gio back with goodness.) Gio looks up at the ceiling then back at his friend.
Gio Davidson:
“Fine! I’ll do it. You stubborn fool!”
Matthias joyously slaps his hands on his legs. He starts to cough again. Gio gives him more Kleenex. More concern appears on Gio’s face.
Matthias Davidson:
“I’m okay...I’m okay. You better get over to the ShoWare Center. Anthony will meet you there with the paperwork you need to give the Pride General Manager.”
Gio nods in agreement.
Gio Davidson:
“Okay, but not until I pray for you.”
Matthias starts coughing again. Gio gives him more tissues then places his hand on his back and begins to pray in Latin.
Gio Davidson:
“Domine Deus, tu veni ad invitare omnes qui onerati vobis. Patitur manum tuam ut sanitatem cura Matthiae. Regem amantissimum, sanitatem corporis et animi viribus meum ut serviat. Languorem, et abierunt! Amen.”
As soon as Gio utters the last word Matthias’ cough suddenly stops. They both open their eyes and Matthias whispers a thank you while urging Gio to go head out. Gio fistbumps Matthias and heads for the exit. Before stepping out of the room he stops and looks back at Matthias.
Gio Davidson:
“You’re going to be just fine, my friend.”
Matthias smiles as Gio leaves. Matthias slowly lays back into his hospital bed and takes a deep breath. No cough. He’s surprised that there is no attack. He takes another breath. Still no cough. Just then Matthias’s doctor walks in.
Dr. Yi Chang:
“The nurses tell me you have more blood in your spittle.”
Matthias Alexander:
“Yes, Doc, but for some reason I can take deep breaths now.”
The doctor is surprised as he walks up to his patient.
Dr. Yi Chang:
“You shouldn’t if you have blood in your spittle. Let me take a listen.”
Dr. Chang walks over to Matthias and puts on his stethoscope. He listens Matthias’ breathing in various locations of his back and has him take deep breaths.
Dr. Yi Chang:
“Your lungs sound clear. Perfect actually. How do you feel?”
Matthias has a big grin on his face.
Matthias Alexander:
“I feel...fine.”
The doctor scratches his head in disbelief.
Dr. Yi Chang:
“I’m going to order a couple more tests just to confirm but this is impossible.”
Matthias lays back with tears in his eyes.
Matthias Alexander:
“No, Doc, it’s a miracle. Vocat Salutis!”
The scene fades to black with a shot of Matthias tearfully smiling.
The Arena dims down to only full with a combo of Gold lighting and flash bulb pasted strobes.
Heather Cooper:
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from Las Vegas, Nevada, Drew Simmons!"
Drew walks out on stage wearing a black ring jacket with the same logo as his shorts on the back. He raises his arms up and gives out a yell as his game face is on. He stalks to the ring. Walks up the steps into the ring where he crosses the ring to the second turnbuckle and unzips his jacket and flexes.
Heather Cooper:
"...and his opponent..."
”Sorry Not Sorry” by Demi Lovato begins to play and a few seconds later, Kendall walks out onto the stage, a smirk on her face and her hands on her hips. She stops in the middle of the stage.
Heather Cooper:
"From Battle Lake, Minnesota, Kendall James!!!"
She looks around before moving her hips in a circle and turning around, bending over slightly before turning back to face the ring. She begins to walk down the ramp, arms down by her sides now. She stops in the middle of the ramp and looks around, acting like she’s gonna slap some of the fans’ hands before pulling away and pushing her hair over her shoulder and strutting down the rest of the ramp and over to the metal steps. She jogs up them and goes to the left, stepping on the apron and dipping down to get in the ring between the middle and bottom rope. She steps into the middle of the ring and just raises her hands up and downs a small bow.
Coby Quik:
"Weirdly I don't see Faith Rivers out here with Drew."
Parker Wayde:
"I could have sworn she was advertised as being in his corner."
Coby Quik:
"Well he said he needed to get himself back on track, and Faith understood and was giving him the space to do it."
The match started off with Drew chasing the much smaller Kendall around the ring. Almost from the opening bell she seemed reluctant to square up with someone so much bigger than she was. The action finally got underway when Drew got her cornered against the turnbuckle, and closed in, but Kendall slipped under his arm and escaped as he charged in. With Drew's back against the turnbuckle, Kendall threw everything in her arsenal at him. She started with a few hard forearm strikes, and then a few kicks to the ribs before Drew finally pushed her away from him. The force of the pushed sent her falling backwards, but she rolled through to her feet when he back hit the mat. Drew came charging out of the corner, but fell victim to a drop-toe-hold that brought him face first down to the mat. Kendall worked her way around his body with stomps on all of his limbs before attempting a pin, but she was sent flying off of him after PJ's hand slapped the mat only a single time.
Parker Wayde:
"Kendall is smarter than that. To deal with this size disadvantage, she is going to have to soften Drew up a lot more."
Coby Quik:
"She didn't seem super confident that she would be able to pull that off when she spoke earlier this week."
Parker Wayde:
"You have fought people twice your size, did anyone ever believe you were confident going in?"
Coby Quik:
"...I mean I hope so..."
Kendall and Drew rose to their feet at the same time, but this time it was Kendall that charged in, and Kendall that got dropped with a belly-to-belly suplex that energized the crowd. Drew attempted to shake out the cobwebs while Kendall writhed on the mat after coming down hard on her lower back. Drew helped her back up to her feet, and went to whip her across the ring. However, at the last moment, he refused to let go of her hand, and spun her back towards him before leveling her with a short-arm clothesline that flipped her inside out before she landed on her stomach on the mat.
Parker Wayde:
"Bug, meet windshield."
Coby Quik:
"That didn't look good."
Drew covered Kendall, but failed to hook either of her legs, which allowed her to kick out at two, albeit not nearly as forcefully as Drew had earlier. Instead of arguing, Drew got right back on the assault. He softened her up with two forearm strikes. As Kendall neared the ropes, Drew shoved her back, forcing her to rebound towards him. When she did, he propelled her into the air, looking for his Sky High spinebuster, but Kendall got more air than he expected. One leg landed on Drew's shoulder, and he reached up to attempt to counter what she had planned, but in a flash, she grabbed his wrist and locked in a flying leg triangle in expert fashion.
Parker Wayde:
"Broken DALL!"
Coby Quik:
"That Flying Triangle is nasty, and these Jet City kids really know how to use it."
Kendall hung in the air on Drew's shoulders, but refused to let go of the hold. The bigger man attempts to take a step back towards the rope, and get the break, but he is just slightly out of reach. He wobbled, but fell forward, spiking Kendall on the mat, but she managed to hold on.
Coby Quik:
"She has got to hang on or this position is going to end badly for her."
On his knees, Drew pushed forward in an attempt to put Kendall's shoulders on the mat, but PJ only reached a count of two before she twisted and rolled her shoulder up. Drew dropped his free arm to the mat and used it to push back up to his feet, carrying Kendall with him. He dropped her down again, but to everyone's amazement she managed to hold her grip. Once on the mat again, Kendall pulled back hard, and arched her back to apply more pressure to the hold.
Parker Wayde:
"Drew is fading!"
Drew attempted to get his feet under him a second time, but it was no use. He fell over, and PJ called for the bell when he failed to answer him about continuing.
Heather Cooper:
"Ladies and gentlemen your winner via TKO, Kendall James!!!"
PJ is able to get Kendall to release the hold, and she rolls away from Drew to get back to her feet. PJ raises her hands while the fans show their displeasure about the victory until the cameras cut away.
As cameras went backstage, we see the new Interim General Manager sitting behind her desk as she admired her new name plate between her hands. When she heard the knock at the door, Max placed it down on the front of her desk as she called out.
Maxine Murphy:
“Come in.”
A tall man with short cropped hair, dressed in a dark colored overcoat, steps into the office with a gentle smile on his face.
Gio Davidson:
“Ms. Murphy? Giosue Davidson. We communicated via Twitter earlier today.”
As he walks up to Max, he extends his hand to her.
Maxine Murphy:
“It’s nice to meet you in person, Mr. Davidson.”
Max said getting to her feet as she returns the smile and accepts the handshake.
Maxine Murphy:
“Now how can I help you?”
After shaking the Interim General Manager’s hand, Gio reaches into his coat and pulls out a few documents.
Gio Davidson:
“I have here Matthias Alexander’s signed Pride contract along with his attorney’s memorandum that he is transferring his roster spot to me. Although he’s been given a clean bill of health by the doctors, he’s heading back to Polynesia in the morning. I was instructed by the attorney to give you these documents.”
He places the documents on her desk and stands up straight to await her review. As Maxine reaches down to pick up the papers, Gio remains quiet as she flips through them.
Maxine Murphy:
“Well, everything seems to be in order here.”
She murmurs moreso to herself as she continues to look through the papers. When she’s done, Maxine closes them up and returns her attention to the man before her.
Maxine Murphy:
“It’s a shame Matthias decided to return home so soon. But we’re thrilled to have you as a part of our roster. It’ll be interesting to see what you bring to the table.”
Gio smiles humbly.
Gio Davidson:
“There’s nothing special about me, Ms. Murphy. Just a carpenter’s kid from Nazareth, Pennsylvania. I’m here to be the best wrestler I can and hopefully do some good around here. I hope I don’t disappoint. Can I expect to be on the card for Ignition 004?”
Maxine Murphy:
“If you want to be on it, I’ll be sure to see that it happens. But you’re going to have to wait til later to find out who your opponent is. Though as long as you give it your all, you will never disappoint. Your best is all we can ever ask for.”
Max nods a bit as she looks over at him.
Gio Davidson:
“Well I’m grateful for the opportunity. I will give it my all. Do you mind if I watch the show from backstage? I’d love to see what a Pride show is all about.”
Maxine Murphy:
“Be my guest. There are monitors all around the backstage area. Pick one that’s to your liking and enjoy. I look forward to seeing you around, Mr. Davidson.”
Max offers him a final smile as she awaits his exit.
Gio Davidson:
“I hope so too.”
Gio respectfully nods at Max and heads out of her office. He grins as he walks out into the hallway leading to the backstage area. He whispers to himself before the cameras go elsewhere.
Gio Davidson:
“Vocat Salutis.”
Heather Cooper:
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall..."
The opening cords to ”Hail To The King” by Avenged Sevenfold starts to play as the arena lights start to pulse along with the beat. Just then bass kicks in and the song starts with a heaver tempo as Josh Anderson makes his way out onto the stage in his ring attire and a sleeveless TeamKill shirt. He points out to the crowd before rolling his neck and then smiles coyly.
Heather Cooper:
"Making his way to the ring, from Red Wood City, California, Josh Anderson!"
Josh heads down to the ring, looking out at the booing crowd with a smile on his face. Once in the ring he mocks the fans while standing on the middle ropes. Anderson takes off his TeamKill shirt and gets ready for the match.
Heather Cooper:
"...and his opponent..."
The lights fade, as The Throwaway Kids performed by Dead Celebrity Status, erupts on the airwaves inside the ShoWare Center. A red fog begins to form in front of the entrance way, as Andrew “DRU” Dahl steps out from the back, and stands center stage. He looks down; a hoodie is masking his head and face.
Heather Cooper:
“Making his way down to the ring from Columbus, Ohio, standing in at six feet, four inches tall, and weighing in at one hundred and ninety-seven pounds, Andrew DRU Dahl!”
DRU raises his head, and the hoodie falls back resting on his shoulder revealing a pair of white beats by Dre headphones. He grins ear to ear and begins his walk down the aisle that separates the entrance from the ring. He pulls his hoodie off and tosses it beside the ring followed by his headphones as he rolls underneath the bottom rope and enters the ring. DRU walks to the opposite corner of where he entered the ring and leaned up against the turnbuckle. His music fades out, as he closes his eyes.
Coby Quik:
"Well, in what was originally supposed to be a Triple Threat Elimination match, we have DRU Dahl taking on Josh Anderson."
Parker Wayde:
"Josh has already vented frustrations about Matthias backing out of the match due to illness, but DRU Dahl has been nearly silent for weeks now."
Coby Quik:
"Let's hope he was spending that time forming some kind of gameplan..."
As the bell sounded, DRU rushed towards Josh in a full sprint. When the two came together, they traded blows back and forth with the smaller street fighter actually gaining an early advantage. It was short lived though, as Josh cut him off with a hard knee to the stomach that doubled him over after narrowly dodging one of the quick right hooks from DRU. Josh wasted no time grabbing DRU around the midsection while he was doubled over, and lifted him up into the air before he fell forward with a gutwrench powerbomb that sucked the life out of both the crowd and DRU.
Coby Quik:
"That's What's Up!"
Parker Wayde:
"I see Josh's point about wrestling not being street fighting. You won't be seeing anything like that in a parking lot brawl."
Josh acted like he was going to turn DRU onto his back for the pin, but instead dragged the smaller man back to his feet. He put his hands up, and waved DRU forward to square up with him. DRU did not back down, even on staggered feet, and threw a punch, only to be cut in half with a hard toe kick to the stomach that doubled him over again. Josh shrugged, and shook his head in disappointment before locking DRU up and taking him overhead with a snap suplex.
Parker Wayde:
"Josh seems to be trying to educate DRU here."
Coby Quik:
"This isn't some fist fight, and the quicker DRU realizes that, the better shape he will be in."
Josh rolled through to a straddled position over DRU and threw two hard right hands to his temple. JD attempted to step in, but Josh was already getting back up to his feet, and was dragging DRU along with him. He tried to lock him up for another suplex, but DRU pushed his arms away and sent a kick of his own aimed for Josh's midsection. Instead of it landing, Josh was able to catch it in his hands. Fans flashed back to how DRU took Oren down, as he tried to swing his free leg up for an enziguri. Josh had it scouted though, and ducked his head while simultaneously letting go of DRU's foot. The smaller man ended with his back to his opponent and Josh made him pay with a German suplex that folded DRU in half on the mat on impact.
Parker Wayde:
"This is getting out of hand."
Coby Quik:
"I guess it answers questions about DRU's preparedness."
JD checked on DRU while Josh got back to his feet, but he appeared to be done handing out free lessons. He pushed the stacked up man over onto his stomach, and then reached down to take hold of his wrist. The crowd booed as Josh started to pull the man up, only to put his foot on the back of the man's neck and drive him face first down into the mat.
Parker Wayde:
"Blunt Force Trauma!"
Coby Quik:
"This is over..."
Parker Wayde:
"Arguably, this was over before it started..."
Josh did not even bother to hit the mat. Instead, he moved around the ring to cut off DRU from the ropes and then rolled him onto his back. Josh put his foot on the smaller man's chest and JD dropped to the mat to count a pin fall that everyone knew there was not going to be a kick out from.
Heather Cooper:
"Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this contest via pin fall, Josh Anderson!"
JD gets up and offers to raise Josh's hand, but the veteran and trainer shakes his head, and looks disappointedly down at DRU. He backs out of the ring and starts to make his way up the ramp as the cameras cut away.
Backstage, Maddie Wilson appears before the camera with a ready smile.
Maddie Wilson:
“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you Pride’s newest signee, Jennifer Yang!”
The camera pans to reveal the wrestler in question who beams back with a friendly wave. Dressed casual with her hair let down, Jennifer seems mostly happy to be interviewed but one can still tell the slight nerves underneath the confident demeanor.
Jennifer Yang:
“Thanks for the warm welcome. I’m excited to be here!”
Maddie Wilson:
“Well, I’m glad to hear that, Jennifer! I know you’re not competing tonight so I appreciate you dropping by. And I think the fans would love to get to know you more.”
Jennifer raises her shoulders as she gives a shy smile.
Jennifer Yang:
“Yeah, I can’t wait to make my debut! Hopefully that will happen in the next Ignition. I’m ready to go!”
Maddie Wilson:
“I look forward to it. Have you met anyone else yet? And what do you think of the competition here?”
Jennifer Yang:
“Yup, I’ve met with some people backstage where I’m watching the show tonight instead of at home like the last one. I’ve always been a wrestling fan so seeing some of the names I’ve heard over the years in person finally is a real treat for me. Oh and don’t ask Julian about me ‘cause he’ll probably deny knowing me even though we both trained at Nightfall in Vegas.”
Jennifer gives a playful wink as she chuckles.
Maddie Wilson:
“Oh yes, that’s right. You’re also from Nightfall.”
Jennifer Yang:
“Yeah, I’m really lucky to have Chris Night take me under his wing. I hope to do him proud. I’m excited about the competition here. I’ve done my homework and no doubt it’s gonna be a huge test for me because the roster is insane. But I work hard, really hard. So my goal is to catch up and keep up with the rest. I hope to finally find the solid ground I need for my career here.”
Maddie nods encouragingly.
Maddie Wilson:
“I hope you do too! Thanks again for speaking with me. I’ll let you get back to watching the show. Looking forward to your debut, Jennifer!”
Jennifer Yang:
“Thank you, Maddie! It was good chatting with you.”
Maddie Wilson:
“Likewise!”
Maddie offers Jennifer a handshake, which she willingly accepts. The scene cuts away.
3 Doors Down's hit "Kryptonite" hits over the speakers sending a rush through the crowd. The fans jump up on their feet cheering as the tron comes alive with CM's entrance video. Michaels himself finally walks out onto the stage about 20 or 30 seconds into the song. He stops at the top and looks out at the pumped fans. In the ring Heather Cooper raises her mic.
Heather Cooper:
"Ladies and gentlemen, this next match is scheduled for ONE fall! Introducing first, from Memphis, Tennessee...He stands six-foot-two and weighs in at two hundred and twenty-six pounds...Here is Christian Miiiiiiichaels!!!!"
Christian had been bouncing from his left foot to his right during his introduction. As Heather finishes he gestures for the fans to get louder! They're quick to oblige and CM starts his way down the aisle. The fan favorite making sure to go back and forth between the sides of the aisle, slapping hands with every fan that he can. When he reaches the end of the aisle, CM rolls into the ring under the bottom rope. He gets up and heads towards the nearest hard camera-facing corner. CM gets on the middle turnbuckle and raises his hands up, garnering another cheer from the crowd. Finally Michaels hops down and awaits the entrance of the James Williams.
Heather Cooper:
"...and his opponent..."
Strobes begin to blaze everywhere as the opening riff to Satellite begins, as smoke also fills the entryway. The silhouette of the Icon can be seen in the smoke, before he steps through the entryway, extending one hand to the sky as high as possible with his pointer, thumb and middle finger spread out--The "Iconic" Pose.
Heather Cooper:
"Making his way to the ring from Salem, Oregon and weighing in at 231 pounds, he is "The Icon" James Williams!"
He holds this pose, looking up at his hand, until the smoke gets blown away and a spotlight shines down on him. He looks down out at the crowd, a manic smile on his face as he makes his way to the ring, whirling around and tagging hands and just being a ball of energy everywhere he goes. He reaches ringside and hops up on the apron, entering the ring in one fluid motion through the ropes and pinging off the opposite ropes like a super-ball, throwing his arms out and yelling out to the cheering crowd, every muscle taut and flexing tight as he displays intensity. Springing up a buckle, he plants a boot on the top rope and repeats The Iconic Pose one more time before dropping off the buckle, disposing of his entrance coat then settling into his corner.
Coby Quik:
"I have been looking forward to this one all night!"
Parker Wayde:
"Christian Michaels has quickly become a fan favorite here in Pride, but James Williams had an impressive debut, even in a losing effort, against Eliza Valentine."
Coby Quik:
"You have to think if that match had been held under normal rules, he would have walked away with a victory."
Parker Wayde:
"Ifs are for bitches Coby. Don't be a bitch."
Coby Quik:
"Has anyone told you that you can be really mean when you want to?"
The crowd seemed to be split down the middle to start the match off. James Williams struck his signature pose from his corner, which drew a pop from the crowd. Not to be outdone, Christian Michaels raised his hands up to hear their reaction for him, and was not surprised to hear them be louder in response. The two came out of their corners following the friendly taunting, and locked up in a collar-elbow-tie-up right off the bat.
Coby Quik:
"No mind games here, these two are just going to go at it."
Parker Wayde:
"That's a nice change of pace actually..."
The two men seemed to be at a bit of a standstill. James pushed forward, getting Christian to back up just a single step, but the veteran pushed back in response, and brought them back to the center. James attempted to lower himself and gain a positional advantage, but the veteran turned their lock-up into a side headlock in response. James fought back, sending two hard shots to Christian's ribs and backing him up towards the ropes before pushing him off hard, and sending him across the ring. The veteran intelligently wrapped his arms around the top rope on the other side of the ring while James telegraphed a dropkick that caught nothing but air. As soon as the man was on his back in the middle of the ring, Christian came forward, hooked his legs, and rolled over him for a bridge style pin. JD Wright slid into position to count the surprise fall, but James sent a hard chop to both sides of Christian's rib cage that broke up the pin attempt.
Coby Quik:
"Quik thinking by James Williams."
Parker Wayde:
"In your head you said Quik without the C, didn't you...?"
Coby Quik:
"Shut up..."
Both men scrambled to their feet, and Christian threw a stiff right hook that caught James across the cheek. The rookie did not back down, and lit up Christian's chest with a knife-edged chop that echoed throughout the arena. Christian was not to be dissuaded, and followed with a second punch, but was met with a second chop in response. This one caused him to back up, and James took advantage, hitting Christian with a second and third as he backed up across the ring. Again, James whipped Christian across the ring, and this time the veteran did not lock onto the top rope. He rebounded, and James went for his leg lariat, but Christian ducked under his legs. James landed on his feet in the middle of the ring, but when he turned, Christian was there waiting for him and took him over with a suplex.
Parker Wayde:
"Christian Michaels' ring presence never fails to amaze me."
It was not enough to keep James down, and the two managed to get up to their feet at roughly the same time. Christian managed to get the upperhand quickly with a European style uppercut that stood James straight up before it was followed with a hard kick to his stomach that doubled him over. Christian did not waste a single movement, and finished the trifecta by dropping James on his head with a DDT that brought the crowd to life. He rolled the rookie over and covered for the pin, but was denied more than a count of two.
Coby Quik:
"James Williams is still in this thing."
Christian Michaels took his time getting to his feet while plotting out his next plan of attack. He sized up James from behind as he started to get up. He extended his arms out to the crowd, feeding off of their support as James turned around. He doubled him over with a second kick to his stomach and looked for his Twist of Fate neckbreaker, but James was able to spin out and push him away. James came forward, looking to stay on offense with a clothesline, but Christian ducked under his arm. James fell forward against the ropes, and rebounded back towards Christian, but was met with a superkick out of nowhere.
Parker Wayde:
"WHAPPED!"
James snapped back, and his shoulder blades hit the top rope after the impact, which pushed him forwards. Running on instinct alone, as he came forward, he reached out for Christian's head and dropped him with a version of his i-Trigger cutter that surprised everyone in attendance and sent both men to the mat lifeless.
Coby Quik:
James Williams with that surprise i-Trigger may have just saved the match for himself!"
Parker Wayde:
"I'm not so sure. Neither man is moving!"
JD was forced to start his count with both men down and unresponsive.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
Coby Quik:
"Come on guys! Don't let it end like this!"
The fans seem to echo Coby's words, trying to will both men back to life. Christian turned over onto his back, moving away from James. The rookie had the same idea and rolled the other direction, towards the ropes.
FOUR!
FIVE!
SIX!
Parker Wayde:
"Signs of life from both men, can they beat the count?!"
James hooked an arm up over the bottom rope, and started to pull himself back to his feet. In the center of the ring, Christian Michaels was up to a knee, trying to find the strength to continue.
SEVEN!
James climbed up the ropes like a ladder, using them to get his feet back under him. Christian managed to get a foot planted firmly on the mat and force himself up, ending the referee's count. Christian came towards James, but the rookie hooked both arms around the top rope and jumped up, putting both of his boots into Christian's chest and pushing him backwards. The veteran rolled through to a knee, but James launched himself forward, and connected with a 720 kick to the side of Christian's head while he was down on one knee. Christian dropped to the mat, and James was able to roll himself over him for JD to drop down and make the count that ended the match.
Heather Cooper:
"Ladies and gentlemen, your winner via pin fall, "The Icon" James Williams!"
JD has to help James up to his feet, and when the cameras close in on his face, it is easy to see that his eyes are still a little glassy. JD raises his arm as James' music hits the PA system. The rookie celebrates his victory as Christian Michaels starts to get up. James calls for the music to be cut off, and extends a hand to help the veteran back up to his feet. Christian takes it, and James raises his hand up, pointing to him in a show of respect that the fans eat up before the cameras cut away.
Backstage, the cameras cut to Holly Rhodes. She’s sitting in a chair facing the camera.
Holly Rhodes:
"What does tonight mean to me? Whew… That’s hard to put into words. It’s the main event of Pride, it’s the Pride Television championship match. What do you say about something like that? It’s an opportunity, it’s the chance of a lifetime. I could list about a dozen clichés about it but it just wouldn’t do it justice. I’m walking into literally the third Ignition and wrestling for a championship in my fifth match ever. And that, to me, speaks volumes about why I’m here. Sammy and Luke, yeah, they deserve this as much as I do. They won their matches at Ignition 2, just like I did. And here we are. 3 of the top younger stars getting a chance to shine. It means quite a bit. But I wasn’t give a second chance like Luke. I wasn’t shocked and surprised to be in this match like Sammy. I just went about my business. I came here to start a legacy. I came here to win. I’m here tonight to win. I know Sammy and Luke would very much like to do the exact same thing. I expect Sammy and Luke to come out gun’s blazing. I expect the future to be on display right before the fans eyes tonight."
A brief pause.
Holly Rhodes:
"And I expect to win. Tonight, you’re looking at the next Pride Television champion. So what does tonight mean to me? Everything."
'Champion' by Fall Out Boy fills the arena as the lights turn off. 'Anushka Aalto' flashes on the big screen as the lights then shine flickering gold throughout the darkened arena.
Heather Cooper:
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Beersheba, Israel, Anushka Aalto!"
Anushka Aalto then makes her way towards the ring, wearing a gold robe with her hood up. As she reaches the ring, she bows her head before stepping up the ring stairs. She wipes her feet on the ring apron before entering the ring and heading to her corner, pulling her hood down and jogging in place, getting herself ready for the match.
Heather Cooper:
"...and her opponent..."
"Black Honey" begins to blare over the PA system when Julian Savell appears at the top of the entrance way. The fans begin to shower him with boos.
Heather Cooper:
"Coming to the ring... Residing in Las Vegas, Nevada and weighing in at 225 pounds... He is "Your Own Personal Savior"... JULIAN SAVELL!!!"
Julian pops the collar of the fur coat that he's wearing as a sly smirk runs over his face. Julian is also carrying his patented umbrella and is wearing sunglasses to go along with his wrestling trunks. Julian walks down the ramp while repeatedly raising his hands in the air, telling the fans to get louder with their boos so they oblige. Julian then walks up the steps and dusts his feet off on the top step before stepping through the middle rope. He climbs up to one of the top turnbuckles and then raises his hands in the air horizontally with the umbrella still in his right hand. Julian then jumps down from the turnbuckle, takes off his fur coat and sunglasses and hands them to one of the staffers outside of the ring. Julian then awaits for the match to begin.
Coby Quik:
"Here we go!"
Parker Wayde:
"It appears that this is the match Jason Halich has handpicked to be the debut of Sabrina Ramirez as a Pride official."
Coby Quik:
"Apparently he has faith that since these two have been friendly, that this one is not going to get out of hand."
Sabrina stood between the two competitors to start the match, and pointed at her striped shirt before explaining the rules to both of them. Neither seemed to be particularly worried about her, as they were both veterans of the sport, and more focused on one another than anything else.
Parker Wayde:
"You putting money on Anushka again, because she has the size disadvantage like you?"
Coby Quik:
"You putting money on Julian because he is as big of a dick as you are?"
Julian attempted to bully Anushka as the match got underway. She went for a spinning back fist right off the bat, but Julian caught it and then palmed the side of her head to push her away from him. The veteran from Israel was not just going to take that kind of treatment, and managed to wipe the smile off of Julian's face with a spinning kick to the ribs. Julian took a step back, but did not fall to the mat. Anushka stayed on top of him, and drove her forearm into the side of his head before lifting a knee into his sternum. The high-low combination had Julian reeling but when Anushka went for the spinning back fist a second time, he ducked under her arm, wrapped his arms around her waist and tossed her over his head with a German suplex.
Parker Wayde:
"Julian Savell has had enough of the striking from Anushka."
Coby Quik:
"She might be the only one here that competes barefoot, but each of those kicks packs just as much force as anyone on the roster."
Anushka was slow to get back to her feet, and Julian used that opening to his advantage. He sized her up before attempting a buzzsaw kick, but Anushka had it scouted. She ducked her head, and with Julian's back to her, she took out the back of his right knee with a chop block that took him to the mat. She rose up to her feet as Julian got his knees under him in an attempt to get up, but Anushka raised her foot to kick him in the side of the head as he tried. Julian rolled out of the ring and out to the floor, immediately raising his arm up to the side of his head where the blow caught him.
Parker Wayde:
"Julian needs to regroup..."
The former top dog of Pride slapped the barricade separating the crowd from the ringside floor, and then pulled the top padding off of it in a rage. The ringside crew vacate the area as Sabrina Ramirez dipped between the top and middle rope to tell Julian to bring it back in the ring.
Coby Quik:
"Or explode..."
Julian moved towards steel folding chairs that the crew had left in the ring, and throws them at the barricade, ignoring Sabrina all together. Anushka moved towards the ropes to go after Julian herself, but Sabrina stepped between her and the ropes and backed her up. The microphones could not pick up the discussion between the two, but Julian used the distraction to pick up a chair and slide back into the ring. He put his back to the women, and faced the ropes, hiding the chair from sight as Sabrina turned to see him back in the ring. She moved out of his way, and the veteran pivoted with the chair, aiming to bring it crashing down against the side of Anushka's head.
Parker Wayde:
"Watch out!"
At the last second, Sabrina gripped the end of the chair and stopped Julian from completing his swing. He fought with her to get the chair free, but she pulls it out of his hand instead. The former Pride champion swung a fist towards Anushka, abandoning the chair, but the international star grabbed his wrist and fell back, raising her foot into his chin while pulling him into the kick.
Coby Quik:
"Prideful Defeet!"
The crowd exploded, and Sabrina discarded the chair back to the outside of the ring just time to count the fall. Her hand slapped the mat three times, narrowly beating Julian Savell to the kickout before signaling for the bell to end the match.
Heather Cooper:
"Here is your winner via pin fall, Anushka Aalto!"
Her music hit the PA system, and Anushka rose to her feet to celebrate the win. Sabrina raised her hand up to an ovation from the crowd, but it was cut short when the rising Julian Savell took exception to his loss. He came from behind, and lifted Anushka up into the air before bringing her down with a back breaker that silenced the crowd. Sabrina vacated the ring, and called for security, but before they made it down to the ring, Julian was able to follow up the assault with his Unsaved curb stomp. Security stormed the ring as Julian looked down at the damage done, but he escaped out the opposite side from them. With a chorus of boos to play him out, Julian made his way around the ring and up the ramp as the cameras cut away.
