So,
Many of you have already noticed that the rest of the show has gone up. Today has been a sort of learning experience for me in more than a couple ways.
-First, having shows on holidays sounds like a good IC idea, but is an OOC nightmare. This is a big one. It pretty much has an impact on the rest of the list. I can see why a lot of feds go on break during the winter holiday season. This is was a lot, and it was only Halloween.
-Second, you guys have to be a little quicker on the segments. I did not really get many before after deadline for segments had passed. Being the kind of person that I am, I am kind of handcuffed without them. I know a lot of you are in angled feds, and know the importance of doing them from a character standpoint. On my end though, I bust ass writing most of the matches on the card. I have to break them up with something. Having to add a bunch of segments myself is what slowed the first card, and not wanting to do all of that myself again is what put off this card because I waited to get enough. Again, I know Halloween fucked that up for a lot of people, but this show has been two weeks in the making. We have to do better all around if we want the shows up on time.
-Third, now that we are in the 24 hours between results and a card, there is going to be a rule change added. From now on, only one RP can be posted per character within the last four hours before deadline. I told everyone that I was cool with people using all of the time in between the deadlines for writing, but that is not meant to inspire people to drop a few all at the last second. It was meant more along the lines of, if you can only do one, and that one drops in the 30 seconds before I post the deadline thread, that is fine. I did not want to see people dropping multiples within the last hour. I understand that while it may look bad, it was probably not a nefarious thing at all. I just want to nip the problem before it becomes a problem, if that makes sense.
--**There will be a second part to this rule. I am not sure how I will word it, but it will essentially enable you to go back and forth with your opponent within those four hours. If you post an RP with three hours to deadline, and your opponent responds with enough time left for you to squeeze in another one, you may post again. Basically the rule is going to end up eliminating people from double posting close to deadline. If people in the match are still going back and forth that late into deadline, I am not going to stop it. The posts have to alternate though. I am tired. I am not trying to figure out how to say that in a more clear and concise way right now.
-Fourth, I am not fielding questions, comments or concerns until the morning. I had a lot to deal with all day, including the management of family members that were trying their best to break every rule that I was tasked with enforcing. Bottom line, teenagers suck. So, I am taking the rest of the night, and probably most of the morning hours off. It is already 2:42am here, so take that as you will. When I wake up tomorrow I will start sending feedback, grades, side-by-sides, explanations, etc. Please do not think I am ignoring you if I do not get back to you in the next, let's call it ten hours. I will probably be watching a movie and then sleeping for that entire time.
-Fifth, most of the card is already booked. Obviously Sammy, Holly and Luke know what they are going to be up to. Congrats guys. If you have requests, or anything like that, feel free to DM the Twitter account. It is probably the best way to ask me for things since it notifies me on my phone.
-Sixth, I just want to say congrats to RC Tucker for winning the PRIDE Championship. It was a toss up between someone that tends to write more to the creative side and someone that writes phenomenal old school promos. It was difficult. I had to ask several people what they thought about individual RPs even after I had graded them. It came down so close at the end, and I honestly could have gone either way and felt completely justified. Kudos to you both. I can see this possibly going a third round. Erron won Lion's Pride. RC won here. You two play off of each other well. I enjoyed writing the match.
